What an exciting and powerful combination – Thoroughbred
racehorses and teenage boys!!! Through
the Tulsa Boys’ Home’s new partnership with the Oklahoma Thoroughbred
Retirement Program and The Exceller Fund, retired Thoroughbred racehorses
continue to work their magic creating incredible breakthroughs helping troubled
young boys find healing and hope in a future they never thought possible.
Boys at the Tulsa Boy’s Home interact with the horses in a
variety of activities. The horses are an
integral part of helping boys with behavioral issues, attention deficit
disorder, drug addiction, abuse issues, and depression. The Tulsa Boys’ Home equine program helps the
boys improve their skills in the areas of communication, conflict resolution,
teamwork, and positive, healthy relationships.
Dah Waterboy and Ton of Gold, who will continue to be owned
by The Exceller Fund, are now participants in this teamwork effort of
healing. What outstanding second careers
for these two former racehorses!
Perhaps you…or maybe a group of your friends or
co-workers…would consider sponsoring one of these special horses…just $5.00 a
day pays the “salary” for one of these horses to work his magic. Help a horse help a child!!!
