Dah Waterboy
Bay Gelding;
Foaled 1997
Fappiano Road -
Book Achiever, by Mari's Book
This victim of tragedy has been shuffled around and is still looking for a forever home.
Dah Waterboy originally was purchased off the track by a
hunter/jumper stable, who then donated him to The Exceller Fund. He
charmed his way into a loving home, but was channeled back to The
Exceller Fund after his owner’s unexpected death.
With a pedigree peppered with famous names, Dah Waterboy is a
paternal great grandson of sensational sire Mr. Prospector and his dam
is a grand daughter of the legendary Northern Dancer.
Dah Waterboy won two of 20 starts and earned $42,496 while racing at
eight different tracks in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Kentucky,
Florida, and West Virginia. Dah Waterboy’s last race was April 7, 2001
at Mountaineer Racetrack in West Virginia, where he was third in an
allowance race. He exited that race with a fracture in one front leg, a
bowed tendon in the other, and sore hocks.
Thanks to Tammy DiGioia, Mylestone Equine Rescue, ReRun, and The
Exceller Fund, Dah Waterboy will be loved and receive the best of care
for the rest of his life.
