Tulsa Boys' Home
Four very special Exceller Fund horses currently have careers as therapy horses at the Tulsa Boys’ Home, a residential treatment facility for troubled teens. Our horses are used in their equine assisted psychotherapy program at this state of the art facility where sixty-four boys call home during their treatment for mental health, behavioral, and/or substance abuse issues.
While receiving excellent care, these horses play a key component to the healing process these youngsters so desperately need. The Exceller Fund continues to financially support these horses in their important careers as it is a win-win arrangement for both the horses and the boys.
Among the horses is Rich in Dallas, one of the horses that played the role of Seabiscuit in the movie. Seabiscuit's story has been extremely inspirational to many people across the country, but to these boys it is more than that. It is something many of them can relate to, making this the perfect fit for our "movie star".
