"Windy" was sent for training at the Fingerlakes Racetrack in New York, but it became very apparent that she was simply not racehorse material. She does not have the best conformation as her pasterns are not suited for racing, and she is very cow-hocked.
Due to her conformation, Windy is not a candidate for riding with the possible exception of a small child on her back while being led. She is also very affectionate and will follow you in the pasture and likes contact with people. She also enjoys being pampered and having "room service" (meals in her stall.)
Sadly, Windy left us on August 5, 2011. She went peacefully and we are thankful she was able to enjoy her final years living the life of luxury.
