Pro On The Road is a granddaughter of the great Mr. Prospector and Kennedy Road. When we first got her, she was very thin but filled into a beautiful mare with the good care she received at EPONA in New Hampshire. Pro On The Road was one of the first few horses we purchased directly out of the kill pen at New Holland.
In April 2002 Pro On The Road had surgery on a knee which was found to have a lot of old chips, arthritis and several spurs. In 2004 Pro On The Road was been adopted. Unfortunately her adopter was unable to take her on a move and Pro was returned to TEF in 2006.
Pro has developed the terrible habit of cribbing when she is in a stall which causes her to colic so she requires constant turnout. She did have some success with a pro-biotic supplement Performance Products - Equine Microbials however we are not certain she will ever be able to be stalled for any length of time.
Pro is currently in Missouri on pasture turnout with several other Exceller Fund horses. She is queen bee and makes sure all the boys know she is in charge. She is very smart and needs a job to keep her mind occupied. She has not been ridden in some time but she has not exhibited any lameness and was found to be a beautiful mover when she was worked regularly. She is restricted to flatwork only due to her knee.
If you are looking for a fun horse to learn on or have some fun with in the pasture Pro could be your girl! She does seem to prefer women to most men.
